BUCA’24 will take place in the serene and picturesque island of San Servolo, in the heart of Venice, at the VIU Campus.

How to reach San Servolo from Venice

The Island of San Servolo is 10 minutes by boat from Piazza San Marco, Venice.

The n°20 waterbus departs from landing dock B at San Zaccaria, the waterfront adjacent to Piazza San Marco. Landing dock B is opposite the Londra Palace Hotel.

Also, line 10 connects Zattere to San Servolo twice a day, at 8.14 am and 8.34 am, on request. Please talk to personnel on board if you take line 10.

How to reach Venice

By train - Venezia Santa Lucia train station

Venice's main train station is Venezia Santa Lucia.

From there, to get to San Zaccaria waterbus stop take either Line n°4.1 or n°5.1, and get off at the San Zaccaria boat stop.

By plane - Venice Airport Marco Polo

There are several services that run from the airport to Venice:

Water (direct) and land Taxis (via Venezia Santa Lucia train station)
You can take a private water taxi directly to your final destination (which is an expensive choice, from the airport to San Servolo it costs about €130.00). Alternatively, you can take a land taxi to Venezia Santa Lucia train station.
Alilaguna BLU LINE waterbus service (via city center)
This company offers a service that goes from the airport to Murano, the Lido, the Arsenale with a final stop near Piazza San Marco.
ATVO buses (from Venice Marco Polo Airport to Venice Piazzale Roma)
These blue and yellow shuttle buses run from the airport to Piazzale Roma (near Venezia Santa Lucia train station) and they leave from in front of the entrance of the departure hall. Automatic ticket machines can be found in the baggage hall, in the arrivals hall, and outside the airport.
