Lectures

All lectures will be from 9:30 to 11:00 AM and from 11:30 to 13:00. They will cover topics relevant to building and running billion-user cloud applications, including:

• data replication for high availability

• service replication for scalability and high availability

• assigning and maintain ownership of a piece of data or function

• placing data for better load balancing

• routing requests for load balancing

• scheduling requests for fairness

• ensuring durability of the data

• scaling challenges with LLMs

• performance analysis and optimizations

There will be a daily discussion session in the afternoon.
